I am the Reformed layman rambling about whatever comes to mind including Christianity, culture, and the general craziness that surrounds us during this walk through life.
There are a few important things that you should know about me: I am a reforming wretch with a long and varied church history. I grew up being a fourth generation Pentecostal ( Church of God Cleveland TN ) without every really embracing the faith and subsequently moved to a Southern Baptist Church. While there, thanks to a variety of sources, I began to encounter Calvinistic doctrine with regards to sotieriolgy and became, despite my local church’s position, what most would consider a Reformed Baptist. While continuing to study I became more Reformed and eventually joined an ARP Presbyterian Church.
I am very happily married to my wife of 13 years, Mindy Kay, and we have three little ( well not so little anymore ) tornadoes also known as Weston, Jackson, and Gibson. Being a husband and a father are two of the most humbling, God-honoring, and exasperating roles in life I have ever held.
Those things, my faith and family, are the highest callings I or any man can have in this life. I am sure that as time goes on we will discuss this further in more ramblings, but for now here are a few more things:
While this is not all-inclusive and life is greatly unpredictable, it does give us something to chew on for the time being as we ramble along the road of life.
